Where it came from: Falosmount
Where it's going: Nobody's saying, but the cart's heading east
What it looks like: Big stone slab with dark veins running through it. Gets warm around fire. Old as dirt, maybe older.
What Daisy Mae Knows
"I wasn't around when they dug it up, but I felt it happen. Something old woke up. Like the whole mountain took a breath."
- Its Real Name: She calls it Heartbrand. Says it's an old fire giant word that means something like "promise you carry" or "burden that burns." "It's not just what we call it. It's what it is."
- Family Business: Daisy's people were supposed to watch over it, not use it. But the blood connection is still there. When it's close, she dreams weird dreams. Fire and ash and voices. She thinks they're warnings.
- Not a Treasure: Falosmount wasn't some archaeological dig. It was more like a vault. Or a prison. The tablet was put there on purpose, with ceremonies and everything. Not just buried and forgotten.
- Picky About People: She says the tablet's not cursed, it's choosy. Burns people it doesn't like. Those guards who quit? One of them had it coming. The other one was probably fine, just smart enough to leave.
- There Are Others: This isn't the only one. She's heard stories about similar tablets. One's lost in some salt marsh, another's locked up in a chapel somewhere. Each one belongs to a different clan. Each one's still watching.
- Something's Listening: "People think it's just old history sitting in a box. But you don't move something like that without waking things up." The heat isn't just from the stone. Something's paying attention now.
"You help me get it back where it belongs, and you'll have done more than just help me. You'll be on the right side when whatever's stirring decides to show up."
